New Year's Concert Encourages Korean People to Turn Out in Building of Thriving Nation

| Pyongyang, January 6 (KCNA) -- After enjoying the New Year's concert given by the Unhasu Orchestra at East Pyongyang Grand Theatre on Thursday, the audience described the concert as an inspiring one, which helps harden their determination to make a leap forward in the efforts to build a thriving nation this year, too. The concert, given after the demise of leader Kim Jong Il, represents the Korean people's ardent yearnings for the leader and their steadfast will to share the destiny with the Workers' Party of Korea. Among the repertoire are the chorus "Song of Love for the People" and female solo and chorus "Attraction and Reverence". The numbers touch off an ardent yearning for the leader, who devoted his all to the well-being of the people. Put on the stage are also the orchestral music and chorus "On the Path of Struggle under the Leadership of the General" and choruses "Our March", "Might of Korea" and "Let Korea Advance". The songs mirror the Korean people's great pride in unwaveringly taking the road of revolution under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un. The concert was climaxed by the narrative and orchestral music "Korea Has Risen Up" calling on the people to unfailingly build a thriving socialist nation, true to the behest of Kim Jong Il. The performance continues. |
