NDC Statement Supported by Koreans in Japan

Pyongyang, January 7 (KCNA) -- Ri Tong Je, chairman of the Association of Koreans in Japan for Peaceful Reunification, Thursday made public a statement denouncing the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors for committing thrice-cursed treason during the mourning over the great loss to the nation. The statement recalled that the DPRK National Defence Commission in its statement on Dec. 30 last year declared that it would never deal with the Lee Myung Bak group who rubbed salt into the wounds of the compatriots bitterly grieving the big loss to the nation. It went on: The DPRK has consistently called for advancing together along the road of reunification, peace and prosperity and proposed wide-ranging dialogue and negotiations and strived for their realization. However, the south Korean puppet authorities responded to the proposal with pro-U.S. sycophancy and confrontation with fellow countrymen and intensified war moves. The group, though aware that all Koreans were overcome with bitter sorrow at the great loss to the nation, did not express condolences but suppressed south Koreans of various social standings desirous of mourning it by hook or by crook. There is nothing to expect from these anti-reunification forces. Reunification can never be achieved and the destiny of the nation will be put at peril as long as they stay in power. We together with all compatriots at home and abroad fully support the statement of the DPRK National Defence Commission which is entirely just as it fully reflects the will of the fellow countrymen. |
