Pyongyang, January 8 (KCNA) -- Thongil News, an internet paper of south Korea, issued a New Year article titled "Let us set up national reconciliation-oriented government" on Jan. 1. The article recalled that after its emergence the Lee Myung Bak "government" trampled down on democracy and put the people's livelihood into deterioration, totally denied the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and strained the south-north relations, increasing the danger of war. The "government" finally paid no heed to the voices of the people calling for rolling back the policy of escalating the confrontation with compatriots and terminating the unequal "alliance" with the U.S., the article noted, and went on: The past history clearly proves that when the "government" pursuing confrontation with compatriots emerges in south Korea, the south-north relations are bound to deteriorate and a war crisis to loom. 2012 is the year for settling accounts with the Lee Myung Bak "government", the article notes, calling for judging the "government" of traitors and not allowing the forces who have exercised all powers under its patronage to raise their heads. The article underscored the need for the progressive forces supporting the implementation of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration to emerge victorious in the "National Assembly" and "presidential" elections to be held this year and set up a government aspiring after national reconciliation and reunification. |
