New Year's Concert by Unhasu Orchestra Goes on

Pyongyang, January 8 (KCNA) -- 2012 New Year's concert "The Cause of the Sun Will Be Immortal" by the Unhasu Orchestra is going on at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre. Enjoying the concert on Saturday were officials of ministries and national institutions and working people in the city. The concert began with female trio and chorus "Cantata to Comrade Kim Jong Il". When the hymn in praise of the great man vibrated as a song for the memory of him and a song of best wishes for his immortality, the concert hall turned into a sea of tears. The numbers of the concert included chorus "His Life", male duet and male pangchang "We Long for You, General", chorus "Song of Love for People" and female solo and chorus "Oh, We Long for You". The performers sang of the undying feats of leader Kim Jong Il who protected the blue sky of the DPRK, holding high the banner of Songun and ushered in a new history of prosperity with the flames of great surge. Also touching the audiences were numbers that represented happiness provided under the loving care of the father. Choruses "On the Path of Struggle under the Leadership of the General" and "Our March" vividly showed the firm will of the Korean army and people to glorify the cause of perpetuating the memory of the leader through generations. The concert reached its climax with chorus "Might of Korea", which shows the faith and will of the Korean army and people to make to the last the Korean revolution started on Mt. Paektu, female trio and chorus "Under the Guidance of the Leader" and narrative and orchestral music "Korea Has Risen Up". The concert redoubled the resolute readiness and faith of certain victory of the audiences to devote their all to the struggle for prosperity of Kim Il Sung's nation and Kim Jong Il's Korea, singing loudly the song of revolution provided by the dear respected Kim Jong Un at the dawn of the New Year's day. |
