S. Korea: Investigation Results on Cyber Attacks Rejected as Deceptive

Pyongyang, January 9 (KCNA) -- Civic organizations of south Korea, including the Citizen's Solidarity for Democratic Society and the Citizens Federation for Economic Justice, issued commentaries to reject the deceptive results of investigation into the case of cyber terrorism by the "Grand National Party", according to KBS on Jan 6.

They recalled that the prosecution made public the investigation results Friday which stated that the Ddos attacks on the homepage of the Central Election Commission was done only by secretaries of lawmaker from the GNP Choe Ku Sik and the speaker of the "National Assembly" in conspiracy.

The results are unreliable as they are the same with the investigation results by the police claiming that there was no wirepuller behind the attacks, the commentaries charged.

Those organizations called for introduction of a special prosecutor's system to conduct a thoroughgoing probe into the truth of the case.
