DPRK Labor Hero Conferred on Merited Designer

| Pyongyang, January 10 (KCNA) -- Ko Pu Ung, chief engineer of the Pyongyang City Design Institute, was awarded the DPRK title of Labor Hero and Gold Medal (Hammer and Sickle) and Order of National Flag First Class, according to the January 9 decree of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly. Working at designing sector for 40 odd years, Ko has perfectly designed a lot of monumental edifices. Among them are the Mansudae Art Theatre, Grand People's Study House, Hyangsan Hotel, Pyongyang Circus Theatre, Youth Park Open-air Theatre and the Ice Rink. |
