Memorial Services for Kim Jong Il Held Abroad
Pyongyang, January 13 (KCNA) -- Memorial services took place in Nepal, Sri Lanka and Pakistan between Dec. 29 last year and Jan. 2 this year on the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

Attending the services were personages of the Central Committee of the Nepal Worker-Peasant Party and a regional committee under the party, the Sri Lanka-People's Korea Friendship Association, the Pakistani Organization for the Study of the Juche Idea and the Committee for Women's Rights of Pakistan and the Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Idea and masses.

They paid silent tribute to Kim Jong Il.

Prasad Kafrel, member of the C. C., the Nepal Worker-Peasant Party, said that Kim Jong Il wisely led socialism in the DPRK so that it could dynamically advance despite the moves of the imperialist forces to stifle it and their military threat and economic sanctions, adding that his noble exploits would last forever.

Prof. Ratune Sekura of Sri Lanka noted that Kim Jong Il defended socialism and global peace and resolutely foiled the provocations and arbitrary practices of the imperialists, holding aloft the banner of the Juche idea and the Songun idea, and positively helped the people of developing countries in their struggle.

Berkat Ullah, chairman of the Pakistani Organization for the Study of the Juche Idea, and other speakers expressed belief that the Korean people would overcome their sorrow as early as possible and surely accomplish the cause of Kim Jong Il under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un.
