EU Unemployment Hits Record High

| Pyongyang, January 13 (KCNA) -- Unemployment in the European Union (EU) has reached a historically high level of 9.8 percent, according to the latest quarterly report released on Tuesday by the European Commission. Youth unemployment reached 5.6 million in November 2011, also bringing the rate to a new high of 22.3 percent from about 15 percent in spring 2008, according to the report. |
