Pyongyang, January 14 (KCNA) -- The Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea issued a special report declaring that the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il will be laid in state at the Kumsusan Memorial Palace, the sacred temple of Juche. The report evoked a lively response as it reflected the unanimous wishes of the service personnel and people of the DPRK to hold Kim Jong Il in high esteem as an eternal leader of the Workers' Party of Korea and the revolution. Kim Ok Sun, former anti-Japanese revolutionary fighter, said as follows: The Kumsusan Memorial Palace is the sacred temple of Juche as it is enshrined in the hearts of all the Koreans. Their hearts seem to run to the palace every moment. We, anti-Japanese revolutionary veteran fighters, are greatly excited to hear that Kim Jong Il will be laid in state in the sacred temple of Juche, as he dedicated his all to the people all his life. Choe Ju Won, teacher at Kim Il Sung University, said: When I looked over Kumsusan area upon hearing the special report, I felt as if I had seen the broad smiles of the two great men in the sky above it. I am greatly encouraged by the thought that I can visit the palace whenever I miss him as he is laid in state there. I will get inspiration, while taking a view of Kumsusan area whenever I missed Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il. Ri Ju Chol, an official in the field of power industry, said: It is heart-rending to think of Kim Jong Il, who underwent all sorts of hardships all his life with a single desire to build a thriving nation on this land as early as possible. I feel relieved when thinking that it has become possible to hold him in high esteem and profound reverence forever in reflection of the ardent wishes of all the people, as he passed due to the pent-up fatigue without having good rest even a single day. I pledge myself to be a standard-bearer in the on-going general offensive to improve the people's living standard true to the noble intention of Kim Jong Il. |
