It is quite natural for each Korean to express condolences over the demise of the benevolent father of the nation and share sorrow with his or her fellow countrymen and, moreover, it is good manners and customs peculiar to Korea, a country of courteous people in the East, and its ancestral tradition of etiquette to mourn before the bier of any deceased, the statement said.

However, the Lee group, regardless of the nation or elementary human reason and morality, persistently checked the memorial services of south Koreans and dispatch of their mourners' groups, forcibly dismantled the mourning stations and deleted the phrase of "demise" from all condolatory messages, thus committing hideous anti-national and unethical treason, it charged.

No sooner had an announcement on the great loss to the nation been made than the group issued "emergency alert order" to the puppet army for war posture and let the right-wing conservative organizations scatter handbills slandering the supreme leadership of the DPRK on the frontline areas, calling for "taking counteraction to the north by separating inhabitants from their leadership", the statement pointed out.

We will never pardon the treason committed by the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors who, obsessed by the wild dream of "unification of systems", ran riot, regarding the great loss of the nation as a "good chance," it said.

The group is clamoring about "change in the north", but it is a daydream, the statement said, adding:
