We fully support the Korean people in their efforts to carry out the tasks set forth in the joint New Year editorial, the statement said, and went on:

The Spanish communists shared sorrow with the Korean people over the demise of General Secretary Kim Jong Il last year.

We also witnessed, through the news of the mass rally held in Pyongyang on Jan. 3, the firm will of the Korean people to turn sorrow into strength and courage and certainly build a thriving socialist nation.

We offer our sincerest greeting of wishes to the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

The Korean people will continue to build socialism, neither tolerating any infiltration of imperialism nor allowing any compromise with the imperialists.

We will stand against imperialism and go closely united with the Korean people on the road of socialism.
