Pyongyang, January 16 (KCNA) -- Overseas Koreans are praising the personality of the dear respected Kim Jong Un as a great man. South Korean paper Jaju Minbo carried on Saturday an article titled "Feelings of overseas Koreans after being received by Vice-Chairman Kim Jong Un". Overseas Koreans said in general that they felt "kind-heartedness" and "high-spiritedness" from Vice-Chairman Kim Jong Un when they were received by him after paying their respects to the bier of Kim Jong Il, chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, displayed at the Kumsusan Memorial Palace, the article noted, saying: Yun Kil Sang, chairman of the Federation of Koreans in the U.S., said: His image gave other persons something comfortable. It gave a dignified yet gentle impression. When I looked at his face, I could feel that his hand shaking was based on warm sincerity, not casual manner. Rev. Yu Thae Yong, a permanent editor of Minjok Thongsin, said: After expressing respects to the bier of Chairman Kim Jong Il, I was received by General Kim Jong Un. We did not talk but only nodded. From his face and posture, I felt he is very kind-hearted and modest for his high position. Ri Jun Mu, head of the New York U Ruk Symphony Orchestra, said: What I felt instantly from his eyes when shaking hands was that he is a good-natured man. A feeling came to my mind that this person would be much loved by the compatriots in the DPRK. Choe Un Bok, chairwoman of the General Association of Koreans in China, said: I felt that he listened carefully to what overseas Koreans said and that his posture was high-spirited. Outsiders and Western media would say that he was young. Anyhow, I didn't have such feeling, but got an impression by his dignified appearance that he is identical to President Kim Il Sung. Correspondent Ro Kil Nam, who was received by Kim Jong Un when he covered the mourning at the Kumsusan Memorial Palace and paid respects to the bier of Kim Jong Il, said in an interview with Jaju Minbo: I felt kind-heartedness and benevolence from him. On August 18, 1990 I was ever received by President Kim Il Sung at Kyongsong Spa in North Hamgyong Province after the successful conclusion of the Pan-National Rally. I felt as if I met Kim Il Sung at the first view of Kim Jong Un. Other compatriots, too, felt something "kind-hearted" and "warm" from him, the correspondent added. Meanwhile, Kim Hong Gol, third son of ex-President Kim Dae Jung, said in an interview with a Japanese media that Vice-Chairman Kim Jong Un looked younger than himself in a photo. Kim Hong Gol visited Pyongyang with his mother Ri Hui Ho to mourn the demise of Kim Jong Il. "It was my feeling that he is young by appearance and voice, but he was self-possessed when receiving mourners," he added. |
