Pyongyang, January 16 (KCNA) -- A double rainbow was seen in the sky above the Chonghak Workers' District, Phyongsan County, North Hwanghae Province at around 17:15 December 20, a day after the sad news of the demise of General Secretary Kim Jong Il was reported.

There was neither rain nor snow that day.

The rainbow had its both ends resting on two valleys, as if it linked them with each other.

A rainbow also appeared in the sky above the Party Founding Memorial Tower in Pyongyang at around 15:20 December 23.

The rainbow hovered in the sky south of the tower plaza, with its one end facing the mourning site built in the plaza.
