Mozambican President on Successes in 2011

Pyongyang, January 18 (KCNA) -- President Armando Guebuza has called on all Mozambicans to observe measures of austerity in 2012 and to commit themselves to increased productivity and to fighting against obstacles to the country's development.

President Guebuza said 2011 had been marked by a strengthening of national unity, self-esteem and patriotism. Peace and the feeling of solidarity among Mozambicans had been consolidated, and the rule of law and multi-party democracy deepened.

"In the context of the struggle against material poverty, we built new social and economic infrastructures which are contributing to improving the quality of life of our people", he said.
