Attending it were the chairman of the society for commemorating the death anniversary of Pak, his father and the chief of the Unification Study Center.

The speakers at the service recalled that Pak, a student of Seoul National University, was killed by the brutal torture of the police in the days of the past military dictatorial "government".

They deplored that since the appearance of the Lee Myung Bak "government" the social democracy has been thrown into a serious crisis.

Recalling that the martyr always hoped to see a society where the popular masses are its master, they declared they would struggle for genuine democracy.
