Attending the rally were members of the Headquarters of the All-People Movement for Checking the Conclusion of the south Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement and other civic and social bodies and figures of opposition parties and people from all walks of life.

The speakers at the rally said that FTA is an unequal and humiliating agreement as it leaves the sovereignty of south Korean economy to the tender mercy of the U.S.

The additional massive import of American beef is seriously threatening the vital rights of the stock breeders, they deplored, warning they would judge the Lee Myung Bak "government" and politicians in the forthcoming "National Assembly" (NA) election for ramming the motion calling for the ratification of the humiliating FTA through the NA for the sake of the privileged circle who accounts just for less than one percent of the population.

They declared they would intensify the anti-"government" struggle in the future.
