The president was speaking in N'Djamena late Sunday at the opening of the 15th summit of the Economic Community of Central African States (CEEAC).

Deby Itno asked his CEEAC colleagues to abandon their ego and their nationalism for the benefit of regional integration which will benefit their populations.

Deby asked his colleagues to "carry out the necessary reforms which will transform their regional community to be a viable social and economic bloc that will also be competitive internationally."
