Iran Warns Gulf States over Crude Boosts to Offset Potential Oil Embargo

| Pyongyang, January 19 (KCNA) -- Iran's OPEC governor warned against any crude boosts by Persian Gulf states to compensate for the potential Western embargo on Iran's oil exports, the local satellite Press TV reported on Sunday. If the Gulf countries be prudent enough to announce that they will not participate in an oil embargo against Iran, the "adventurous" Western countries will be dissuaded from imposing oil sanctions against Iran, he added. The regional countries should not align themselves with the West's sanctions, he stressed. |
