As part of them, surface-to-air missile complex "S-400" of new generation in commission at the Baltic Sea Fleet is to go on combat duty in Kaliningrad Region in April.

The commander of the fleet said that the building of positions for the complex is now under way, noting that the complex will be deployed in the center of Kaliningrad Region, situated in the country's western end, to protect it from attacks in all directions.

Meanwhile, tests of trial new-type armed equipment of about 70 kinds for the strategic rocket forces, the air defence forces and missile and artillery units of the ground forces will be made at the Kapustin Yar firing range in Astrakhan Region this year.
