Reduction of University Registration Fee Urged in S. Korea

Pyongyang, January 20 (KCNA) -- The general student councils of five universities in south Korea, including Korea University and Yonsei University, called a press conference in Seoul on Jan. 17, demanding reduction of the registration fee for new school term.

Speakers at the conference charged that the authorities take no notice of the fact that university students and their parents are suffering from the skyrocketing registration fee.

To reduce the fee is the demand of the times, they said, adding that the universities should turn out in the struggle to have the fee reduced.
