The chairman of the preparatory committee said that this year is the most significance year marking the centenary of birth of the President and the 70th birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il and a year in which the plan of Kim Jong Il for prosperity will bear shining fruition.

History has known no such a great man as Kim Jong Il who defended socialism and translated all the ideals of the people into brilliant reality with his extraordinary leadership, the chairman said, and went on:

The revolutionary armed forces loyal to the Workers' Party of Korea, the great unity of the army and people rallied close around the WPK, the advantageous socialist system and the solid foundation of the independent national economy are the eternal treasure provided by Kim Jong Il all his life.

The dear respected Kim Jong Un is now standing in the van of the grand march of the Korean people.

The Korean people are filled with the steadfast resolution to reliably defend and glorify the undying feats of Kim Jong Il true to his behests and always follow Kim Jong Un, closely rallied around him.

The Korean people will make greater progress and prosperity this year under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un, supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.
