Present at the ceremony were personages and members of the Mt. Paektu Association for Independent Development, Academy of Sciences, Federation of Peace and Friendship Organizations, Centre for the Study of Juche and the Association for the Study of Juche Idea-Songun in Mongolia.

The special report of the Political Bureau of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea was read out there.

L. Khaisandai, chairman of the Mongolian Mt. Paektu Association for Independent Development, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The preparatory committee decided to hold colorful events, including joint seminar of Juche idea study organizations in Mongolia, film show and photo exhibition, on the occasion of February 16, the birthday of leader Kim Jong Il.
