Present there were officials of the Brazilian Center for the Study of the Juche Idea, the newspaper Dialog of the Czech Republic and the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association and masses.

The chairman of the Brazilian Center for the Study of the Juche Idea said in his lecture:

It is almost one month since Kim Jong Il, the great leader and father of the Korean people, passed away.

The Korean people are holding him in high esteem.

Feb. 16 this year is his 70th birth anniversary.

The DPRK instituted his birth anniversary as the Day of the Shining Star. On this occasion we will give wide publicity to his idea and feats.

The editor-in-chief of Dialog noted:

The demise of Kim Jong Il who wisely led the Korean revolution and the world revolution in the forefront to defend socialism from imperialism is a great loss not only to the Korean people but to the Czech revolutionaries and the international labor movement.

We are convinced that the socialist cause and the revolutionary cause of Juche which were pioneered by President Kim Il Sung and led by Kim Jong Il are sure to win as the dear respected Kim Jong Un, who is identical to Kim Jong Il, is standing at the head of the Workers' Party of Korea, the state, the army and the people of the DPRK.
