The preparatory committee is made up of representatives of the Brazilian Communist Party, the Party for Free Motherland of Brazil, the Communist Party of Brazil, the Brazilian Center for the Study of the Juche Idea, the Brazilian Committee for Solidarity with the DPRK and the Brazil-Korea Friendship Association.

The ceremony elected Emilia Fernandes, co-chairwoman of the international preparatory committee to commemorate the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung, chairwoman of the preparatory committee.

The preparatory committee decided to organize colorful events including meeting, seminar, photo exhibition and film show and widely introduce and disseminate the immortal exploits of the peerlessly great persons through media on the significant anniversaries.
