India Calls for End to Israeli Settlement Activities

| Pyongyang, January 27 (KCNA) -- India said Tuesday that Israel should completely stop settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territories, saying that continuing settlement activities are undermining the efforts of the international community to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The statement came as Hardeep Singh Puri, Indian permanent representative to the United Nations, was taking the floor at the UN Security Council on the situation in the Middle East. "Settlement activities have also exacerbated the humanitarian problems of the Palestinian people in the West Bank and East Jerusalem," he said. |
