Minju Joson Slams U.S. and S. Korean Authorities' Reckless Military Action

Pyongyang, January 27 (KCNA) -- The U.S. and the south Korean authorities jointly signed "Guidelines for Strategic Planning" for the "U.S.-South Korea Joint Plan for Coping with Local War," a plan for "reacting against somebody's provocation of a local war," in Washington on Jan. 25. Minju Joson Friday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard: The plan is, in essence, a document for a war and a scenario for aggression aimed at stifling the DPRK by force of arms. "The provocation of a local war" touted by the U.S. and south Korean military warmongers is nothing but sophism intended to cover their despicable true colors and justify their moves to ignite another Korean war, the commentary notes, and goes on: It is the U.S. strategy for dominating the world to hold military supremacy in the Asian-Pacific region and meet its strategic interests in the region. Now that the U.S. shifted the focus of its military strategy to the Asia-Pacific region, it regards the scenario for stifling the DPRK by forces of arms as one of the important military tasks to be carried out to implement its strategy for dominating the world without fail. The moves of the U.S. to start a new war have created an unpredictably dangerous situation on the Korean Peninsula. 60 U.S. new type tanks "M1-A2 Abrams" have already arrived at Pusan Port to be ready to go into action and a series of agreements are being concluded between the U.S. and south Korea for rapid delivery of latest military hardware. It was reported that "Ulji Freedom Guardian" joint military exercises would be staged from 2013 under a new "combined defence system." This fact goes to prove that the U.S. and south Korean military warmongers made the collective military actions against the DPRK an established fact and are stepping up the preparations for them. The DPRK values peace but will not pardon in the least anyone who dares provoke it. |
