Kim in the message said AU's initiatives and efforts to solve the continent problems by itself free from any outside interference and to ensure regional peace, stability and socio-economic progress have elicited support and sympathy from the Koreans and other world progressives.

He reaffirmed the stand of the DPRK government to further expand and develop the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation with the African countries.

He sincerely hoped the AU session would offer a significant occasion in realizing the common desire of the member nations for peace, security and sustainable development of the African countries.
