A decision on awarding honorary citizenship to the three commanders of Mt. Paektu was adopted at the city government on Jan. 20.

The decision said:

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea has contributed to strengthening man-centered socialism by embodying the Juche idea.

The Caluma City Government of Bolivar Province of the Republic of Ecuador decides to register HE President Kim Il Sung, HE Marshal Kim Jong Il and anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk as honorary citizens of the city.

This reflects the Caluma citizens' profound reverence for the three great persons, their friendship towards the Korean people, their sympathy with the Korean revolution based on the Juche idea and their will to boost the bonds of friendship and solidarity with the Korean people.
