Belarus Opposes West's New Sanctions against Iran: Foreign Ministry

| Pyongyang, January 29 (KCNA) -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus clarified its stand of opposing the West's new sanctions against Iran on Jan. 24. The unilateral sanctions on Iran may escalate the tensions in the Near East, a strategically important region, the ministry said, adding they may bring unpredictable consequences. Belarus considers any unilateral sanctions as ineffective, it said. |
