To implement the three principles of national reunification and the Oct. 4 declaration precisely means national reunification.

The three principles laid down by Kim Il Sung serve as the most reasonable common reunification charter of the nation as they indicate a fundamental stand and basic ways for settling the issue of national reunification by the concerted efforts of the nation in line with the will and interests of the Korean nation.

It was thanks to the above-said three principles that the Korean nation could steadily intensify the patriotic struggle for the reunification of the country, united close as one under the banner of national independence despite the blatant challenges of the anti-reunification forces at home and abroad.

The Oct. 4 declaration is another milestone of the era of independent reunification Kim Jong Il provided to the fellow countrymen as a programme for implementing the June 15 joint declaration.

It is beyond doubt that the June 15 joint declaration will be thoroughly implemented and the gate of independent reunification, peace and prosperity flung open when the Oct. 4 declaration is sincerely implemented.

Whoever supports the Oct. 4 declaration and opts for implementing it is a patriot but whoever goes against it is a traitor.
