The DPRK termed the rehearsal a test nuclear war to invade it.

Involved in the Key Resolve to be staged from Feb. 27 to March 9 will be more than 200 000 south Korean troops and thousands of U.S. troops. Also mobilized in the Foal Eagle to be scheduled from March 1 to April 30 will be at least 11 000 U.S. troops.

These war exercises to be staged under the signboard of "defense" will screw up the tensions on the Korean Peninsula.

The south Korean forces suffered retaliation after they made firing at the territorial waters of the DPRK from Yonphyong Island in November 2010.
