Russian Long-range Flying Corps Patrols Air over Arctic Ocean

| Moscow, February 1 (KCNA) -- Two "Tu-95MC" strategic bombers belonging to the long-range flying corps of the Russian Air Force, patrolled the sky above the Arctic Ocean from Jan. 27 to 28. After taking off the Engels air force base the crewmen acquired flying skill in the air over waters where it is hard to find direction in the course of more than 16 hour-long patrol flight and were refueled by "Il-78" in the air. The above-said flying corps conducted about 50 patrol flights last year. A spokesman for the Russian Air Force said this on Jan. 30. |
