Larijani: Iran Not to Remain Silent on U.S. Meddling in Regional Developments

| Tehran, February 2 (KCNA) -- Iran's Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Monday that if the U.S. seeks to meddle in regional developments and create problems, the Islamic Republic of Iran will not remain indifference and will take proper action. He made the remark in a meeting with his Indonesian counterpart Marzuki Alie on the sidelines of the 7th General Assembly Meeting of Islamic Inter-Parliamentary Union on Monday. Strait of Hormuz is well known for its tranquility and Iran for centuries has maintained peace and security of the region, Larijani noted. The U.S. is not satisfied with regional developments and believes that waves of revolutions in Islamic states will put its interests at risk and for this reason it is trying to meddle in regional developments, Larijani said. |
