Rodong Sinmun Saturday says this in a bylined article.

Kim Jong Il's history of revolutionary activities was that of great harmonious whole between him and the army and people based on their closest ties, the article says, and goes on:

The ties between him and the people of the DPRK were not technical relationship between a leader and his subordinates but were bonds between the father and his children based on one intention and affection and eternal comradely relations whereby to be in the same boat.

He said that his whole life is only for the people. This well shows his exceptional revolutionary career.

In the DPRK there has been no reserve between the party and the people as its leader personally would learn about wishes of the people and his people open their hearts to him in a familiar way. Leader Kim Jong Il's intention was just the will of the people and the people's wishes precisely meant his ideals.

The Korean people have held Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the sun of their life and their mental mainstay while making revolution under his guidance for many years.

In ten odd days of mourning over his demise when the whole country was in bitter grief a total of 260 million servicepersons and people expressed their condolences, crying in a choking voice "General, please wake up". Hundreds of thousands of people followed the car carrying his bier, wailing and shouting "You can't leave us".

Such touching scenes vividly showed the true hearts of the Korean people whose relations with the leader would never be broken.

Today when the dear respected Kim Jong Un leads the Korean revolution in the van, the pure single-minded unity and solid ties of kindred in the DPRK remains still as it was when its army and people were united close around President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
