Mohamed Ghuneim, Palestinian minister for Israeli settlement affairs, said in an exclusive interview with Xinhua that Israel has recently "unprecedentedly escalated the settlement activities on the territories it is still seizing in the West Bank and east Jerusalem, adding that "this aims at changing realities on the ground by the expansion of settlements."
