S. Korea: Court Judges Past Regime's "Emergency Measure" Illegal
Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) -- The Seoul Central District Court of south Korea on Feb. 2 confirmed the illegality of the "emergency measure" taken by the Park Chung-Hee military fascist dictatorial regime 38 years ago.

The court acquitted Ryu In Thae in a review, who was sentenced to death on charges of violation of the "measure" at that time.

Since the "measure" had no conditions for its enactment and it was an infringement upon the freedom of expression, any offense against it could not be incriminated, the court stated.

In April 1974 when students in Seoul launched a leaflet-scattering action as part of the struggle for democracy the military fascist dictators proclaimed the "emergency measure" No. 4, which stipulated ban on the activity of the Democratic Youths and Students League and halt to the campus movement.

The then puppet Central Intelligence Agency branded those involved as "impure anti-government forces" and cooked up the case by forcing them to make false confessions through all sorts of violence and tortures.

Even today the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors in south Korea, which fully inherited the disposition of the past fascist dictatorship, are getting hell-bent on the confrontation with the DPRK by concocting spy cases and other smear plots.
