The director of the Dombo Enterprise Company of Malaysia and Viktor Yegorov, chairman of the Karelia-DPRK Friendship Association of Russia, were elected chairmen of the committees. Kong Sam Ol, deputy prime minister in charge of the Royal Palace of Cambodia, was also elected chairman of the preparatory committee at the instruction of the Cambodian king.

A letter to the dear respected Kim Jong Un was adopted at the ceremony for inaugurating the Malaysian preparatory committee.

The preparatory committees decided to widely disseminate book "Kim Jong Il's Encyclopedia" and give wide publicity to his greatness and feats and organize colorful political and cultural events during the period from Feb. 1 to 29.

Meanwhile, the international preparatory committee for commemorating his 70th birth anniversary and the preparatory committee of the Blagobeshensk, Russia, Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Idea were formed.
