Nigeria to Raise Petrol Refining Capacity

Pyongyang, February 6 (KCNA) -- Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan said on Thursday that his government was willing to give licenses to those interested in setting up refineries in the country, as part of the efforts to boost local refining of petroleum products.

The president said this during an audience with a delegation of investors from Brazil in Abuja, saying it is part of the overall effort by the government to raise the nation's petroleum refining capacity and reduce the importation of refined products.

"We are willing to approve applications for refining licenses," he added.
