Present at the ceremony were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, officials concerned and staff members of the Brazilian embassy here.

After a decree of the Presidium of the SPA was read out, DPRK Order of Friendship 2nd Class was awarded to Arnaldo Carrilho who has sent firm support and solidarity to the Korean people in their struggle for their country's independent and peaceful reunification and the building of a thriving nation and made a positive contribution to the development of the friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and Brazil.
