The appeal reflects the Koreans' desire for independence, peace and reunification to thwart by dint of the great national unity the plan of the warlike forces to plunge the Korean nation into a nuclear holocaust, the statement noted, adding:

The Headquarters and the Society bitterly denounced anti-reunification forces for their daydream to maintain the sycophantic and traitorous regime while dampening the unanimous aspiration and will of all the compatriots for the independent and peaceful reunification by clinging to the coattails of outside forces.

The statement said all the Koreans would stand shoulder to shoulder with fresh confidence and optimism about victory and make active efforts to achieve the great national unity and the independent reunification.
