S. Koreans Call for Implementing North-South Joint Declarations

Pyongyang, February 10 (KCNA) -- A declaration released in a press interview in Taejon on Feb. 7 called for implementing the inter-Korean joint declarations to the letter. The participants included the permanent representative of the Jun. 15 and Oct. 4 People's Solidarity of south Korea, the chairman of the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy and co-representatives of the bodies comprising those who fell victim to all sorts of conspiratorial cases hatched by the authorities.

The declaration said the present era demands the punishment on the Lee Myung Bak regime and the conservative ruling party as they negated the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, plunged the south-north ties to deadlock and deteriorated the livelihood of the people by resorting to unpopular rule.

It also called on the opposition camp to punish the Lee group without fail in the general election slated for in April by putting forward a sole candidate committed to carrying out the inter-Korean declarations.

It appealed to the progressive forces to get united to do their best for victory.
