Pyongyang, February 11 (KCNA) -- The Kinki Regional Council and the Tokai Regional Council under the Association of Koreans in Japan for Peaceful Reunification released statements on Feb. 7 and 8 in protest against the projected joint military exercises of the U.S. and south Korean authorities to invade the DPRK. The statements said Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises are nuclear war exercises aimed at invading the north as they are to be involved by huge troops of the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces and the south Korean puppet forces and means for preemptive nuclear attack and groups for maritime operations in south Korea and its vicinity. The statements noted that all the Koreans cannot repress their resentment at such thrice-cursed crimes of the Lee Myung Bak group as rubbing salt into the wounds of the compatriots who are still grieving over the great loss to the nation. All the Koreans in Japan do not want to see their homeland turning into shambles of a nuclear war, the statements noted, demanding the warlike forces stop at once the above-said drills unanimously denounced and rejected at home and abroad. The statements expressed will to join in a nationwide movement for lifting public voices calling for defending peace on the Korean Peninsula and implementing the north-south joint declarations, putting spurs to the struggle for peace against war and opening a turning phase for independent reunification. |
