Stamps Issued on Day of Shining Star

| Pyongyang, February 11 (KCNA) -- The Korean National Stamp Publishing Bureau issued stamps in commemoration of the Day of Shining Star (February 16), birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il. They are one kind of sheet-type stamp, one kind of sheetlet-type stamp and one kind of single-type stamp. In the upper parts of the stamps are letters reading "In commemoration of birth of the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il". The sheet-type stamp has the image of a smiling Kim Jong Il standing with Mt. Paektu, the sacred mountain of revolution, in the background. The sheetlet-type stamp shows the revolutionary activities of Kim Jong Il who made the forced march of field guidance all his life to powerfully arouse the servicepersons and people to building a thriving nation. The single-type stamp depicts beautiful Kimjongilia in full bloom. |
