More than 3 080 stories were selected from among revolutionary anecdotes of Kim Jong Il. They were compiled in 12 volumes in the order of 365 days. Each volume contains those in every month.

Given in the book are titles and origin of more than 1 070 major works authored by Kim Jong Il in respective days. It deals with some units honored with field guidance provided by him in respective days.

Revolutionary anecdotes including "Mission of Philosophy", "Banner of Songun" and "Our Life Is Songun Politics" deal with the facts that Kim Jong Il perfectly formulated the Juche idea, Songun idea founded by President Kim Il Sung so that they might serve as an invincible banner for the Korean revolution and the human cause of independence.

The revolutionary anecdotes including "First Trip to Mt. Paektu", "Don't Waver ", "Meandering River Amnok" and "100 Percent Inheritance and Materialization" help readers deeply grasp the exploits and efforts of Kim Jong Il who made sure that the revolutionary tradition of Mt. Paektu was given steady continuity to be an eternal lifeblood for the Korean revolution.

They tell impressive stories about how energetically Kim Jong Il led the party building and its activities under the uplifted banner of modeling the whole society on the Juche idea.

The revolutionary anecdotes including "Height 351 in the Eastern Sector of Front", "Steep Road along Mt. Osong", "Cheers at Panmunjom" and "Launch of 'Kwangmyongsong-2'" impressively deal with the undying feats performed by Kim Jong Il in the course of long journeys for Songun.

Kim Jong Il made a trip aboard a train to provide field guidance despite pent-up fatigue till the last moments of his life. By doing so, he made the torch of a great revolutionary surge flare up furiously on all fronts of socialist construction.

Among his revolutionary anecdotes are those which deal with his revolutionary activities in those days touching the people. "2 a.m. in an Island Country", "Lesson Drawn from 'Caribbean Crisis'", "Bringing a 'Spring' of Socialism", "From Frustration to Advance", "Tears Shed by a Siberian Man", "Day and Night in the Far East", etc. deal with the great contribution made by Kim Jong Il to accomplishing the human cause of independence.

"Paean", "Smiling Sun", "Unchangeable Salute", "Eternal President of the DPRK", "We Miss the President Very Much" and many other revolutionary anecdotes tell about Kim Jong Il's intense loyalty to the President.

The book contains stories about boundless respect, trust and loving care shown by Kim Jong Il for anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters, revolutionary comrades and soldiers. They are compiled as a collection of anecdotes.
