The participants paid tribute to leader Kim Jong Il.

Speakers at the meeting said that they were observing the first Day of the Shining Star after the untimely passing of Kim Jong Il, father of the nation.

They praised Kim Jong Il as the greatest man in history.

They spoke highly of Kim Jong Il who, identical to President Kim Il Sung, protected the dignity of the DPRK and wisely led the people in the hard period when the moves of the imperialist allied forces to isolate and stifle it got more desperate than ever before and the international situation remained most complicated.

The DPRK is now shining thanks to the immortal exploits performed by Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

They expressed belief that the revolutionary cause of Juche would be successfully carried forward and the reunification of the country, the ardent desire of Kim Jong Il, would be surely achieved under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un standing at the helm of the revolution.

Overseas compatriots will wage a more dynamic movement for reunification, holding high the banner of "By our nation itself", they stressed.
