The statement said that day the IS took such fascist action as forcibly searching the houses of leading members of the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification and the organization's offices.

The IS took such action against them on charges of violation of the "National Security Law", insisting that all the activities of the organization including the struggle for concluding a peace agreement on the Korean Peninsula, the actions for curbing the naval base construction on Jeju Island, the movement for getting the "UN Command" disbanded, etc. were conducted by the instructions from the north, the statement said, adding:

The Korean nation is strongly opposed to war.

The IS is the nation's enemy as it deserves a punishment by the people because it has cracked down upon the organization while bringing false charges against the organization which has conducted patriotic and peace-loving activities for the nation against war.

The people are well aware of the despicable plots hatched by the IS to create a terror-ridden atmosphere for suppression by invoking the NSL in a bid to save the present ruling party in the grip of a crisis at the forthcoming April general election.

The people's desire for the country's independence and peaceful reunification against war is growing stronger as the days go by and the organization will wage a more dynamic movement against war despite any suppression, concluded the statement.
