The organ of the Socialist Unionist Party of Syria on February 1 carried several articles with the portrait of a smiling Kim Jong Il and a photo of the dear respected Kim Jong Un conducting revolutionary activities.

In an article titled "On the 70th birth anniversary of Comrade Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea" the paper said the international community is praising him as a distinguished great man. He made great contributions to global independence, it noted.

In an article titled "Songun line and Kim Jong Il" it stressed that his Songun politics served as a basic factor that enabled the DPRK, not a big country, to defend its dignity and sovereignty and win victories only, standing up against the U.S. styling itself the world's "only super power".

In another article titled "Socialism wins if it holds on idea and ruins if it neglects it" the paper said the reality of socialist Korea is a clear proof of the might of the theory of ideology of Kim Jong Il who led the Korean people against the moves of the U.S. and the West to stifle the DPRK.

Ekota, the organ of the Bangladesh Communist Party, on Feb. 6 carried an article titled "Faith of DPRK".

The Korean people are bearing in mind the steadfast faith that Kim Jong Il is always alive, it said.

The banner of Songun held high by him will always shine as the banner of victory of socialist Korea and the Songun politics will remain as the basic political mode in the future, too, it noted.
