Pyongyang, February 13 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Internet paper Jaju Minbo issued a statement on Feb. 10 denouncing the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors for their crackdown upon media. The fascist regime on Feb. 9 set in motion the Intelligence Service to search the house and office of Ri Chang Gi, representative of Jaju Minbo, and arrest him, the statement noted, adding: This repressive action taken by the Lee regime recently is aimed to stop the activities of Jaju Minbo. The present authorities are seeking to tide over the crisis by creating a terror-ridden atmosphere of suppression just as what the preceding regimes did, forsaken by the nation and the people. Outdated is the method employed by the authorities to suppress patriotic organizations and figures on charges of violation of the "Security Law" by groundlessly linking their activities with the north, the statement charged, declaring that they would never yield to any crackdown by the traitorous regime just as they have dynamically advanced along the road of independence, democracy and reunification despite suppression and difficulties and thus frustrate the anti-reunification acts without fail. The statement demanded the authorities stop at once the investigation aimed at suppressing media on false charges and release the unreasonably arrested Ri Chang Gi. |
