Displayed at the show are more than 30 000 books and magazines of 20 000 odd categories published in the DPRK and other countries.

The show has stands earmarked for different publishing houses and dissemination services.

The stand of the Workers' Party of Korea Publishing House displays "Complete Collection of Kim Il Sung's Works", "Works of Kim Il Sung", President Kim Il Sung's reminiscences "With the Century", "Selected Works of Kim Jong Il" and other works and social and political books.

The stands of the Kumsong Youth Publishing House, the Art and Literature Publishing House and the Working People's Organizations Publishing House exhibit magazines carrying immortal masterpieces authored by Kim Jong Il, series of novels and books comprehensively dealing with the revolutionary exploits of the three commanders of Mt. Paektu and other publications that are conducive to ideological education and cultural and emotional life of officials, working people and school youth and children.

Various kinds of books, magazines, dictionaries and picture albums are seen at the stands of the Social Science Book Publishing House, the Science and Encyclopedia Publishing House, the Foreign Languages Publishing House, the Foreign Language Books Publishing House and the Sports Newspaper.

The stand of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) shows books and magazines injecting the love for the country and the nation into its officials and other Koreans.

The stand of the dissemination services displays works of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and books on personality of the three commanders of Mt. Paektu and achievements in socialist construction of the DPRK that were published in different countries.

Present at the ceremony was Kim Ki Nam, secretary of the WPK Central Committee.
