Our Classroom Literature Prize Conferred on Pupils in DPRK

Pyongyang, February 13 (KCNA) -- At least 400 pupils across the country are awarded Our Classroom Literature Prize for writing a lot of excellent literary works last year on the occasion of the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il. An awarding ceremony took place at the Youth League Hall on Monday. Among their works are the childpoems "Singing of Nostalgia", "Study Site on Mangyong Hill" highly praising the immortal revolutionary life of Generalissimo Kim Il Sung. Lyric "The World, Watch Us Please ", children's song "We Will Show Him" and other works impressively deal with the patriotic devotion of Kim Jong Il who brought about great innovations and great leap forward by giving ceaseless field guidance to work sites for a great surge across the country. Their works also include a selection of childpoems "Farm Fields Where My Father Works ", lyric "He Is a Graduate from Our School" which deal with the dynamic labor drive of fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters for the building of a thriving country. And children's song "Height to Be a Soldier", childpoem "We Will Become Children of Songun" and other works reflect the will of the younger generation to grow up to be dependable builders of Songun Korea. There are also among them works on diverse themes depicting school children conducting a brisk do-good-thing campaign helpful to building a thriving nation. |
